Sometimes you find some Christians having this notion that the word of God is only for when you are in church and when it comes to matters of life, put the word of God aside. They often say let’s be real and look at things. But there’s nothing more real than the word of God.
The word of God is life and to base your life on anything outside the Word of God is to set yourself up for failure and damnation.
You find why some have their life undulating, going up and down. It’s not enough to hear the word of God and depend on it sometimes. It’s your life so you stay on the Word of God at all times. Trusting that it is true and it will make you what it talks about.
One of the things the devil does, is to attack your heart when you hear the word of God; to try and make you doubt and think less of the word of God. But stay on the word of God.
Matthew 13:20-23 (LIV)
20 The shallow, rocky soil represents the heart of a man who hears the message and receives it with real joy,
21 but he doesn’t have much depth in his life, and the seeds don’t root very deeply, and after a while when trouble comes, or persecution begins because of his beliefs, his enthusiasm fades, and he drops out.
22 The ground covered with thistles represents a man who hears the message, but the cares of this life and his longing for money choke out God’s Word, and he does less and less for God.
23 The good ground represents the heart of a man who listens to the message and understands it and goes out and brings thirty, sixty, or even a hundred others into the Kingdom.
What are the some of words the God has said to you that you may have brushed aside, or ignored. Go back to them, mediate on them, follow them live them and you will find your life being built up more and more and more…
